"CyberSeries"

Accidental Wisdom

we learn from experience
experience the learning
and grow wiser by accident

I did not intend to learn
the lessons I have
the ones that have ripped my heart apart
torn my existence asunder

this life is a constant puzzle
of putting the pieces back together

then the damn dog knocks them
all over the floor
-- again

it is a strange place I'm living in
the past and future fusing
death drawing closer
I'm powerless
to stem the flow
of raging emotions

I've laughed today ... and cried
achieved new excellence ... and failed
I've been pensive ... and drawn blanks

but much more
I've survived
and grown stronger
when that was the last thing
I wanted to have to do
