Musicman
(Listen
to the poem in RealAudio G2)
...met a man who knew how to make
his guitar talk, eyes so clear, wondered if he ever read newspapers...sang
the night away...talked over coffee and doughnuts - words weren't
important...
watched sun rise like a balloon let go..ball
hazed in pink broke through steel clouds - transfigured rose - somehow when
he lifted me to look in a green house, touched the flowers...spring...they
should have been outside...
wandered through tunnels & halls murals dancing around our heads, his jew's harp buzz-echoing...tapped along with my clogs, added some catcalls...would have taken us away...
musicman - never knew where he came from and don't really care, let him be...
